Your Guide to Partying Pretty: Experience Something Different
Hey y’all, once wedding season starts, you can almost guarantee that your calendar will fill up quick, I know mine will. Attending similar events over and over can get so boring, but if you want to make your wedding truly memorable, you gotta shake it up a little.
Here are a few fun experiences you can provide for your guests that will set your Big Day apart.
EXTREME THEMES: BE ADVENTUROUS.
If you want to take your wedding to the next level, you can go above and beyond with your theme. One Ohio couple bonded over their favorite television shows and incorporated it into their special day. They both love Doctor Who, a show on BBC, and added just the right little touches, and big ones (like the #irl TARDIS), to bring the show to life and make it their own.
COOL FOOD: GET SNACKIN'.
I don’t know about y’all but there’s nothing I love more than some good food. Weddings are full of food making it the perfect thing to style as your own. Texas couple Regan and Colin evolved their rehearsal dinner from something bland to something bright. Mixing in the Tex Mex theme of their environment, they served miniature tacos, a guacamole station, and margaritas. Talk about comfort food.
SPECIAL PERFORMANCE: DANCE OFF.
A lot of times, destination weddings are great breaks from the regular to-do. If an exotic location isn’t enough, why not add some performers? Neeraj and Melanie had their traditional Indian wedding in Turks and Caicos filled with outfit changes and choreographed dance numbers. They really stepped it up though by flying in some of NYC’s Sa Dance Company members to perform.
EXCITING ENTRANCE: SMOOTH SAILING.
Another destination wedding, but a little closer to home, Emily and Tommy celebrated their nuptials in Orlando, Florida. But don’t worry; they kept it all very exciting…the groomsmen entered the ceremony on a speedboat. Follow in their footsteps, or tail winds, and make an unforgettable entrance.
FIREWORKS: END WITH A BANG.
There’s nothing more exciting or romantic than fireworks just for you. What a way to wow your guests! They’re not just for the Fourth of July. Fireworks can add some literal bang to your otherwise calm (hopefully!) wedding celebration.
PHOTO BOOTH: VOLKSWAGEN BUS.
If it’s all about making your wedding memorable, how about some portable keepsakes? A photo booth is a super cute way to get your guests up and excited and even leave with some permanent reminders of how much fun they had at your wedding. Nowadays you can get a photo booth in pretty much anything, including a VW Bus. One of these babies will surely drive home (haha, see what I did there?) that when it comes to fun, you do not mess around.
COOL FOOD PART 2: ICE, ICE BABY.
One couple took their Hawaiian themed wedding even farther by hosting a delicious sweet treat right out of their venue. Wailua Shaved Ice is a local favorite and added a retro feel to a modern wedding. Even better? It doubled as a cocktail bar. Yummmmmm.
